Skeet’s Texas Grill coming to Abilene

The restaurant, a fixture in Sweetwater with locations in Merkel and Snyder, will open in the Catclaw Corner shopping center at Southwest Drive and Catclaw Drive.

District judge will preside over medical marijuana case

Retired District Judge Charles Chapman of Abilene denied a request by Chris Diaz, indicted on a charge of felony possession marijuana, to have 35th District Judge Steve Ellis removed from the case.

In a hearing Wednesday in the 35th District Court, Chapman ruled that Ellis will hear the case.
