Board approves tax rate, rollback election

The Alvord school board approved an overall tax rate of $1.364 for the 2008-2009 fiscal year at Monday’s meeting, and also voted to hold a rollback election for Nov. 4 in order to move 13 cents from the interest and sinking rate to the maintenance and operations rate.
